Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot continues pushing to get a casino-resort in the Windy City. Recently, five different companies submitted proposals to operate a gambling venue here. Officials are now beginning to review the casino bids in Chicago and are expected to award a gaming license here soon.
A huge amount of hype has surrounded this proposed venue. Many steps still need to be taken before construction on a casino in Chicago can begin, though.
